Dear Members
Allow me introduce you to the new IAP website.
After 10 years operating a website primarily intended as an electronic reference book, the Members of the Executive Committee decided to introduce a new and more modern website to assist in maintaining the IAP’s high profile and image in the legal world as well as giving members good value for their investment. |
 |
Besides being the primary source of information about the IAP and its activities, this new website will also include a discussion forum; a worldwide communication platform to promote discussions and share experiences on various topics amongst members. It is important, especially for the IAP – an association primarily intended for networking - that members have an opportunity to discuss matters of professional interest across state borders and jurisdictions and to seek and renew personal contacts with colleagues all over the world.
This new website incorporates a new and more flexible electronic administrative system which makes it possible for new members to apply for membership electronically and for members to pay their annual subscription in a more convenient way through the online payment channel!
Part of the new website is a restricted area and is only open and visible to members of the IAP when they are registered within the new membership administration system. Accordingly it is essential that all members re-register as members of the association through the online application form and ensure that they have paid their annual dues.
You cannot access the restricted part of the website unless you reregister on line and pay your membership dues.
Finally, I ask you all to bear in mind that the implementation of both the new administrative system and the new website has been a massive task. Whilst the new website is virtually complete, it still requires a number of finishing touches particularly as we shall doubtless discover more effective ways of operating the system To assist us in this task, please advise Mrs. Janne Holst Hübner (jha@jm.dk), who is the project coordinator, of any mistakes, printing errors etc you may discover or any suggestions for improvement.
Regards
Henk Marquart Scholtz Secretary General of the IAP |
